It was supposed to be just another Sunday morning for all involved with Shelbourne Football Club, a familiar schedule for a group who have become accustomed to the double-header Friday-Monday weekends.

A 10am phone call from Damien Duff to the club’s co-owner Neil Doyle changed everything.
