Watchdog raises concerns over 95 nursing homes across the country, including HSE-run facilities

The health safety watchdog has said there are 95 nursing homes across the country that are subject to various restrictions because they have not met care standards or pose a risk to residents.
Susan Cliffe, deputy chief inspector with the Health Information and Quality Authority (Hiqa), said the homes included 52 run by the HSE, another was a voluntary home funded by the HSE and 23 were privately owned.
