Little did Ryan Tubridy realise when he hosted his mid-morning show on June 22, 2023, that it would be his last time on RTÉ.

The presenter (52), who announced his engagement this week to Clare Kambamettu, was his usual ­jovial self for the hour-long show, which had been pulling in strong listenership figures and had a loyal fanbase.
