There is always a grieving period after a heartbreaking defeat, but Kildare didn’t try to hit the reset button quickly after this year’s agonising Leinster SFC semi-final loss to Louth.
They finished a goal adrift of the Wee county, that pain made all the more excruciating as Ger Brennan’s men subsequently went on to end their 68-year wait by securing the Delaney Cup.
