RTÉ broadcaster Sarah McInerney and former 2FM DJ Chris Greene are at the centre of a multi-million euro legal battle between RTÉ and the State, the Sunday Independent can reveal.

The High Court cases between RTÉ and the Department of Social Protection will affect 20 of RTÉ’s highest-paid presenters and the station has already budgeted €11m to deal with the fallout.
