I’ll admit it. Tunisia wasn’t at the top of my travel wish list, or even on my radar.

But sometimes a destination surprises you in the most delightful ways. Coming here, I received an especially warm welcome, and found thousands of years of Roman history, stunning beaches and, best of all, a country that still feels — refreshingly — a little off the beaten track.
