How Jozef Puska’s brothers covered up crime and their wives burned killer’s clothes after Ashling Murphy’s murder

At about 3.20pm on a clear January day, Ashling Murphy came to the banks of the Grand Canal to exercise after finishing work at Durrow National School.

By a steep ravine next to the towpath, Jozef Puska would drag the 23-year-old teacher into the briars and thorns, where he stabbed her 11 times in the neck and slashed her once with the edge of a blade.
